Course Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the basics of ultrasound physics
  • Demonstrate the operation of a variety of musculoskeletal ultrasound equipment
  • Obtain standard views on musculoskeletal ultrasound diagnostic exams
  • Identify key anatomy on musculoskeletal ultrasound exams
  • Identify common ultrasound pathology associated with conditions such as gout, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, mechanical muscle injuries, tendinopathies and common neuropathies
